Identity is confirmed on the triple-quadrupole from precursor-to-product-ion transitions — a quantifier and a qualifier transition are both reported — with each peptide eluting as a characteristic chromatographic peak at its own retention time. The molecular mass is confirmed in the same run, verifying the peptide's molecular structure.

How do you measure purity and peptide content?

Purity is examined through quantification of the active peptide content in the sample. Quantitation runs against an external calibration curve, replicated at every level and verified with an independent second-source standard for quality control — an R² of 0.999 is routinely achieved.

Can you test peptide blends?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When a sample contains two or more peptides, we resolve and quantify each component on a single LC-MS/MS run from one vial — reporting per-component identity and purity, the declared versus measured ratio, and a total active-recovery figure on one consolidated CoA.

Can you test heavy metals and endotoxin too?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Heavy-metal contaminants by ICP-MS (Agilent 8800 QQQ) and bacterial endotoxin by kinetic chromogenic LAL (USP 85) both run from the same vial as add-ons, alongside the peptide analysis.

Turnaround is about five business days after we receive your sample, for the core LC-MS/MS identity, purity and net peptide content work. Add-on heavy-metal (ICP-MS) or endotoxin (kinetic chromogenic LAL) testing runs from the same vial and can extend that; we confirm timing with you when we acknowledge receipt.

How do I send a peptide sample to your Ontario lab?

We receive samples at our laboratory at 17 Falconer Drive, Unit 14, Mississauga, Ontario L5N 3M1. Email info@sidechainanalytics.com before shipping and we'll confirm packaging instructions and the right submission path for your work. We test the sample you send; we don't manufacture, sell or source peptides.

Do you test semaglutide, tirzepatide and other GLP-1 peptides?

Yes. Semaglutide, tirzepatide and retatrutide are on our validated LC-MS/MS panel, alongside growth-hormone-axis peptides, neuropeptides and regenerative compounds such as BPC-157, TB-500 and GHK-Cu. For each we confirm identity, measure chromatographic purity and quantify net peptide content. This is research-use-only analytical testing — we make no clinical, dosing or therapeutic claims.

Yes. Every analysis is issued as a plain-spoken Certificate of Analysis that reports identity, measured net peptide content, purity, acceptance criteria and chain of custody — laid out so an analyst can read it at a glance. How much sample do you need, and what does it cost?
